85 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources when he will announce plans for a major extension of Dunmore East harbour to accommodate all types of boating activities, both commercial and leisure, in view of the fact it is grossly overcrowded. [8727/00]
I have asked my Department to commission a strategic study of current and future infrastructural requirements at Dunmore East Fishery Harbour Centre. The results and recommendations of this study will inform decisions on appropriate and cost effective development of infrastructure and facilities at Dunmore East in the context of the national development plan. There will be full consultation with all local interests during this exercise.
