Vol. 518 No. 4

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Ring

Ceist:

151 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive the final instalment of 1999 ewe premium. [11947/00]

One of the parcels claimed by the person named in her 1999 area aid application overlaps with a parcel of land claimed by another applicant. Both herd owners have been written to with a view to resolving the problem and a response is awaited.

No payments can issue until this matter has been resolved.

152 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive 1999 special beef premium and suckler cow payments. [11948/00]

The person named was one of a number of herdowners selected to be audited in respect of his area aid application. This audit has now been completed and the area aid application has been fully processed.

Payment of the 1999 suckler cow premium has issued to the person named. No applications were received under the 1999 special beef premium scheme from the person named.

Willie Penrose

Ceist:

153 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason compensation payments for brucellosis breakdown in a herd of a person (details supplied) in County Longford has not been made to date in spite of the depopulation having taken place on 14 June 1999; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11949/00]

Willie Penrose

Ceist:

154 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason depopulation grant has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Longford in view of the fact the herd was depopulated in June 1999; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11950/00]

Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development
(Mr. Walsh): I propose to take Questions Nos. 153 and 154 together.
The herds of the persons concerned have been amalgamated under one herd number. Payment of compensation was delayed pending receipt by the district veterinary office of the necessary tax clearance certificate. This has now been received. Payment of the appropriate compensation will therefore be made at an early date.
