517 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the plans, if any, he has to review his Departmental guideline cap of £2 million for the refurbishment of swimming pools in view of the fact that the cost of such refurbishments have increased dramatically due to the cost of labour; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The maximum amount of assistance available towards refurbishment of individual pools, which are currently the subject of application for grant aid to my Department, is set at £2 million. This maximum will remain under consideration in my Department, having regard to factors such as costs, availability of funding for pool development from other sources, number of projects seeking assistance etc.
