Ceist:116 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the amount spent by the Legal Aid Board in representing a person (details supplied) in County Mayo in the Family Court, Dublin from 1996 to date. [13948/00]

I have been informed by the Legal Aid Board that the details of a relationship between the solicitor and client is protected by privilege in accordance with the terms of section 32 of the Civil Legal Aid Act, 1995. I have been further informed by the Legal Aid Board that if the client of the Legal Aid Board wishes to obtain this information it will be supplied to him on receipt of a written request from him to the Legal Aid Board.
I am sure the Deputy will also appreciate that it would be improper for me to comment in any way on individual cases.
