Vol. 520 No. 4

Written Answers. - One-Stop Shops.

Billy Timmins

Ceist:

137 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he has received an application for grant aid, for the maximum amount possible, from Carlow County Council for two separate proposals for one-stop shops in Tullow and Muinebheag; the position with regard to the applications; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15776/00]

John McGuinness

Ceist:

155 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if his Department has received a submission from Carlow County Council regarding one-stop shop proposals for Tullow and Muinebheag, County Carlow; if so, the progress, if any, in relation to the submissions; and when a decision is likely in the case. [15993/00]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 137 and 155 together.

A comprehensive submission for funding under the one-stop shop initiative has recently been received from Carlow County Council. The submission sets out detailed project proposals for both Tullow and Bagenalstown. Funding provisions under the initiative for 1999 and 2000 were allocated last year. Funding for 2001 will be considered in the near future and Carlow's submission will be considered in that context.
