200 Mr. Currie asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation if he will expedite a meeting (details supplied) between his Department and South Dublin County Council to discuss a swimming pool for Lucan, County Dublin; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15874/00]
While my Department has received a copy of an interim report on a water leisure strategy prepared for South Dublin County Council, it has not received a grant application in relation to the provision of a swimming pool in Lucan. Until such time as a formal submission in accordance with the Department's procedures for the planning, approval and financing of swimming pools is received, officials from my Department cannot advance the matter further.
