187 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will intervene on behalf of a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim and ensure that he is given seven days notice before he is called for his surgery in St. Vincent's Hospital or if he will ensure that this surgery is scheduled for July 2000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The provision of services at St Vincent's Hospital is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority in the first instance. My Department has asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him as a matter of urgency.
