369 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be approved and paid the farm early retirement scheme in view of the fact that he applied on 22 December 1999. [19311/00]

Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development (Mr. Walsh):

Payment of the pension in this case commenced at the end of August 2000 retrospective to 27 December 1999 which was determined as the date of valid application.
