113 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands the number of archaeologists who have taken up temporary positions with Dúchas since these posts were advertised in February 2000; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [20227/00]
The number of archaeologists who have taken up temporary positions with my Department since these posts were advertised in February 2000 is eight. The Deputy should also note that the long standing contractual difficulties in relation to archaeologists employed on contract by my Department has also been resolved, with those involved having been given five year contracts of employment.
