Vol. 523 No. 5

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Liam Aylward

Ceist:

184 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason the full rate of grant aid payment under the REP scheme has not been made to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny in view of the fact he made his application in a proper manner and was informed recently that he is only entitled to 75% of grant aid. [21584/00]

The application from the person named for his fourth year REPS payment was received in my Department on 14 December 1999. The applicant had two months, up to 30 November, to apply for payment without penalty. However, the application was received in the third calendar month and incurred a penalty of 25%.
