My Department has not received any submission on the need for a limited heroin prescription programme. However, I understand that such a proposal forms part of a submission made by a voluntary organisation to the review of the national drugs strategy which is being conducted by my colleague, the Minister of State at the Department of Tourism, Sport and Recreation, Deputy Eoin Ryan. I understand that the proposal will be considered in the context of this review.
