133 Ms O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the current position with regard to plans to replace the old Garda station in Mary Street, Limerick; if a decision has been made as to the location of the new station; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22810/00]
The position is that the old Garda station in Mary Street will be replaced with a new station on the existing site. I am not in a position to indicate when this might happen, as work can only proceed according to overall priorities and the availability of finance and other resources for all projects on the Garda building programme. However, I can say that pending progress with the new station, a policing service will continue to be provided from the prefabricated buildings in the old station yard.
