355 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will have an investigation made into the delay in arranging an appointment for a knee operation at Cappagh Hospital for a person (details supplied) in County Carlow; if he will comment on the delay; and if the appointment can be expedited. The provision of medical treatment in this instance is the responsibility of the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the authority to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
