359 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if, in view of the anniversary of the disappearance of Jo Jo Dollard on 9 November 1995, he will outline the current status of the investigation; if Operation Trace has uncovered any new information or leads in the case; if, in view of the fact that Jo Jo Dollard has not been found, he will re-examine the evidence, reinterview all those involved in the case and institute a search of all lands in the area where she was last seen; if a public awareness campaign will be launched to remind people of the case and seek fresh evidence or information; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am informed by the Garda authorities that the investigation into the disappearance of Josephine Dollard on 9 November 1995 is continuing. I understand that some additional information has recently been received and that this is currently being pursued.

I am informed that all aspects of the investigation have been reviewed by the Garda Síochána and witnesses were reinterviewed where considered appropriate. As the Deputy is aware, numerous searches have already taken place in the course of the ongoing investigation. The disappearance of Josephine Dollard has received widespread media attention, both locally and nationally, over the past five years. The case has also been featured prominently on the "Crimeline" and "Solved and Unsolved" television programmes. I understand that, if it is believed that further media publicity is likely to advance the investigation further, this will be undertaken by the Garda Síochána.
