383 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason he has not sanctioned and officially endorsed the application of a person (details supplied) in County Cavan to be accepted to Elmbrook special school, Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, where his needs can be appropriately met; and if he will now endorse same. I am pleased to inform the Deputy that arrangements have been made to provide a suitable educational programme for the child in question at a special school in County Cavan. I understand that the child is expected to commence attendance on 30 November.
As Minister for Education and Science I would be concerned to ensure that every possible effort is made to meet the educational needs of all children, including children with disabilities.
