54 Mr. McGrath asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment when a work permit will be issued to a person (detail supplied) in County Westmeath, the application for which was lodged in her Department in September 2000; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [27878/00]

I can confirm that a work permit has been approved by my Department on behalf of the individual concerned and will be forwarded to the employer on receipt of the requisite fee.
