140 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the number of Freedom of Information requests received by his Department; the number of requests rejected; if he will review the treatment of Freedom of Information requests; and if he will make a statement on the matter. A total of 964 requests have been received by my Department under the Freedom of Information Act since its inception on 21 April 1998. The following outlines the position as at 30 November 2000.
