The latest results from the quarterly national household survey, for the third quarter of 2000, showed that there were an estimated 124,800 persons whose main occupation was in agriculture. While the survey classifications do not precisely distinguish all agriculture related business categories, the results also indicate that there were 55,400 persons in employment in the manufacture of food and beverages.
