150 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will intervene on behalf of a person (details supplied) in County Mayo; and if he will ask the health board to deal with people in a more compassionate manner. [29923/00]
The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons is, in this instance, the statutory responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this matter and reply to the Deputy directly.
