Vol. 529 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Paul McGrath

Ceist:

421 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if an application for installation aid has been received from a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath; the date of receipt of this application; the progress made to date with regard to this application; the reason for the delay in dealing with this file; and if he will have this file expedited and payment made. [1932/01]

The application which was received under the national scheme of installation aid from the person named on 20 January 2000 was accompanied by an undertaking to forward further necessary documentation in support of his application. This documentation was not received until 15 January 2001. The application is currently being examined and if it is found to be in order payment will issue within the next four weeks.

Michael Ring

Ceist:

422 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive a year three REP scheme payment. [1933/01]

The person named was notified of penalties which in aggregate exceeded one year's payment under the REP scheme. He appealed the penalties to his local office but the outcome of this appeal was that while the total amount of penalties was reduced it still exceeded a year's payment. Consequently, no year three payment will be made. The person named has the right to make a further appeal to the national REPS appeals committee. This committee is independent and its decisions are final.

Paul McGrath

Ceist:

423 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if an application for installation aid has been received from a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath; the date of receipt of this application; the progress made to date on processing this application; the reason for the long delay in dealing with this file; and if he will have this file expedited and payment made. [1950/01]

The person named lodged an incomplete application under the national scheme of installation aid on 15 January 1999. Outstanding documentation to support this application was sought on 26 May 1999 and on 8 February 2000, all of which was submitted by 8 August 2000. Due to pressure of work there has been some unavoidable delay in processing the completed application.

A final examination of the documentation submitted is currently being carried out and if the application is found to be in order, payment will be made within the next four weeks.
