1239 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Education and Science the total number of civil servants who are currently on the transfer list to other sections of Departments outside Dublin; the locations and numbers involved; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1997/01]
A total of 306 civil servants who are currently serving in various Departments are seeking transfers to my Department's office in Athlone (146) and Tullamore (160) through the central transfer list. These numbers include 25 officers who are currently serving in my Department and are seeking a change of location.
