Vol. 529 No. 4

Written Answers. - Respite Care.

Jack Wall

Ceist:

167 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of respite places available within the South West Health Board area for chronically ill children; if he has satisfied himself with the number of places; if not, the plans he has to increase the number; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3052/01]

The provision of health related services, including respite care, to children is a matter for the relevant health board. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer of the Eastern Regional Health Authority with a request that he examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
