140 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Finance the progress the Office of Public Works has made regarding the provision of a new civic centre at Adare/Bunratty, Coolock, Dublin 17, and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2970/01]
I wish to inform the Deputy that the project is currently out to tender. Subject to a satisfactory response being received to the tender competition, it is expected that a contract should be placed in early April 2001 with work commencing on the project in May 2001. The construction work will take 12 months to complete with a further three months to fit out the premises.
