Ceist:187 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Finance when the Office of Public Works will make safe a bridge (details supplied) in County Mayo. [4596/01]

I refer the Deputy to my reply of 30 January 2001 on the same matter in which I stated that the bridge in question was constructed during the Moy catchment drainage scheme works as a replacement for the then existing local authority bridge on the through road between Ardhoom and Meelick, County Mayo. Responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of the bridge remained with Mayo County Council on completion of the works. However, I am having the Deputy's concerns brought to the attention of Mayo County Council.
