403 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will honour commitments given by his predecessor to provide a new replacement school at a location (details supplied) in County Cork; and the current position in this regard within the Department. [4492/01]
The accommodation needs of the school referred to by the Deputy are under examination in the planning and building unit of my Department in the context of the overall primary school requirements of the area concerned. When all the relevant information has been accumulated and considered, a decision will be made on how best the accommodation needs of the school should be addressed. The school board of management will be advised of the decision at the earliest possible date.
