127 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands the total amount of national lottery moneys available for the arts for each of the years 1998, 1999 and 2000; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [5010/01]
The annual allocation to the Arts Council in Vote 41 is made up of both Exchequer and national lottery funding. I am delighted that I have secured total funding of £100 million for the Arts Council for the Arts Plan 1999-2001. The amount of national lottery funding for the years referred to by the Deputy was £5 million in 1998; £11 million in 1999 and £11 million in 2000.
