85 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the total number of non-established civil servants employed by him in his office; the number within his Department; the salary scale, conditions, terms of employment and function in each case; the names of the persons or firms so employed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. There are 489 non-established staff employed by this Department. The majority of these are permanent civil servants recruited by the Civil Service Commission using the normal recruitment procedures.
