The Irish Red Cross Society, who undertook the administration of the Government's humanitarian aid scheme for the victims of the flooding last November, have disbursed £2.75 million provided by the Government to some 400 applicants in 17 countries. The following is the breakdown of the number of payments on a county by county basis: County Cork 37, County Carlow 19, County Cavan 2, County Dublin 26, County Galway 1, County Kildare 9, County Kilkenny 17, County Kerry 3, County Louth 1, County Limerick 2, County Leitrim 3, County Meath 22, County Offaly 1, County Tipperary 126, County Waterford 6, County Wicklow 47, County Wexford 78. The total is 400.
I do not have a breakdown of the amounts paid out on a county by county basis, as it is customary in the administration of such aid schemes that the preparation of this information will form part of the Irish Red Cross Society's detailed report on the humanitarian aid scheme once the scheme has been finalised and all expenditure accounted for. The humanitarian aid scheme was administered on a strictly confidential basis between the society and individual applicants. It is not intended to publish the breakdown of the disbursements on a smaller geographical area than county as that could lead to identification of individual applicants.
