294 Mr. Daly asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when a decision will be made on an application by a person (details supplied) in County Clare under the I Will scheme of his Department; the reason there is a delay in making a decision in this case; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5873/01]
Clare County Council wrote to my Department seeking the Department's view on how this case should best be dealt with as between undertaking refurbishment works under the scheme of improvement works in lieu of local authority housing or building a new house under the main housing construction programme. There has been no undue delay in dealing with this request. My Department will respond to the council shortly.
