Vol. 531 No. 3

Written Answers. - Naturalisation Applications.

Jack Wall

Ceist:

386 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when an application for Irish citizenship by a person (details supplied) in Dublin 7 will be finally processed, given that it is now approximately three years since first submitted; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5920/01]

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that I have recently approved the application for a certificate of naturalisation in respect of the person referred to and a certificate of naturalisation will issue as soon as certain statutory and other requirements, including the making of a declaration of loyalty to the State and fidelity to the nation and payment of the statutory fee, have been complied with. The applicant has been notified in writing of my decision.
