Vol. 531 No. 3

Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

Dick Spring

Ceist:

433 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Education and Science his Department's proposals for accommodating the pupils, classes and others when the existing school premises is being reconstructed in a school (details supplied) in County Kerry; and the account taken in the planning of this new school of the population increase in the town of Tralee, County Kerry and surrounding areas. [5578/01]

My Department has recently indicated to the management authorities of Listellick national school that it is proposing to appoint a design team to advise on the most efficient and cost-effective way of providing accommodation at the school.

When the report of the design team is available, the matter will be progressed further.

It is not possible at this early stage to say what the format of the project will be or when construction will commence.
