Burke asked the Minister for Education and Science the current stage of planning of renovations and extensions to Ballinakil national school, Kylebrack, Loughrea, County Galway; and if he will give details of his plans to upgrade this school in view of the urgency of these repairs and extensions. Architectural planning for the project in question is proceeding as quickly as possible having regard to the large number of school building projects on hand within my Department.
The school authorities will be kept informed of developments.

Burke asked the Minister for Education and Science when he will allow work to start on the extension to Kilnadeema national school, Loughrea, County Galway; the current stage of planning of this project; if his attention has been drawn to the overcrowding in this school; and the steps he intends to take to provide proper accommodation for these children. My Department is considering the most efficient and cost-effective way of providing appropriate long-term accommodation for Kilnadeema national school, Loughrea, County Galway.
