Vol. 531 No. 3

Written Answers. - Gas Processing Terminal.

Michael Ring

Ceist:

109 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the way in which Enterprise Energy Ireland and its co-venturers can apply to Mayo County Council for planning permission for a gas processing terminal before the granting of a petroleum lease. [5782/01]

Michael Ring

Ceist:

111 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the way in which Enterprise Energy Ireland and co-venturers could apply to Mayo County Council for planning permission for a gas treatment terminal covering six acres to be located at Bellanboy, Glenamoy, County Mayo on 15 November 2000, in view of the fact that commerciality was not declared to his Department by Enterprise Energy Ireland and co-venturers until 11 January 2001. [5785/01]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 109 and 111 together.

The timing of the application for planning permission by Enterprise Energy Ireland to Mayo County Council is essentially a matter between the applicant and the county council in which I have no function.
