381 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Education and Science the number of schools in County Sligo that have tennis and basketball courts; the plans he has to provide extra funding for refurbishment of existing courts; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6828/01]

Minister for Education and Science (Dr. Woods):

The information requested by the Deputy is not available in my Department. It is a matter for the management authorities of schools to apply to my Department for funding towards the provision of hard play areas where a deficit of such facilities exists.
