Ceist:124 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands when funding will be sanctioned to a Gaeltacht road (details supplied) in County Mayo. [8510/01]
Written Answers. - Roads Funding.
I refer the Deputy to my reply of 11 October 2000 to Parliamentary Question No. 253, in which I stated that my Department has asked Mayo County Council to submit an estimate of the cost of improving the road referred to by the Deputy. My Department is still awaiting this estimate from the county council. Once the estimate is received, the road will be taken into account when applications to be funded under Scéim na mBóithre Áise, accommodation roads scheme, this year are being considered. A decision on the applications to be funded will be taken as soon as possible.
