Ceist:346 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education and Science the position in regard to a secondary school (details supplied) in County Mayo; if the school has been purchased; and the proposals he has for the building. [8974/01]

My Department has approved, in principle, funding to enable County Mayo VEC to complete the purchase of the school to which the Deputy refers. I understand this purchase is still not finalised.
County Mayo VEC intends using the premises as an educational facility.
