162 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he will make arrangements to pay a 2000 beef premium to a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [9553/01]

A query arose concerning an incorrect cattle identity card following a mart sale in the case of an animal listed on the special beef premium application submitted by the person named on 5 October 2000. This query has been resolved and payment will issue to the person named as soon as possible in respect of the 59 animals listed on this application subject to compliance with the terms and conditions, including stocking density criteria.

163 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will be paid a 2000 special beef premium which was originally delayed due to an area aid mistake which has now been rectified; and if he will make arrangements for immediate payment. [9554/01]

The person named made one 2000 special beef premium application listing a total of 47 animals for premium. The application was received on 31 October 2000. Payment was delayed due to a query regarding an overclaim on the area aid application of the person named. This query has now been resolved and payment will issue as soon as possible subject to compliance with the terms and conditions, including stocking density criteria.

164 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a REP scheme payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick. [9598/01]

The person named submitted his application for payment on 13 March 2001. The application is being processed at present.

The protocol on direct payments to farmers provides for valid applications to be processed to the stage of scheduling for payment within 14 weeks if they are selected for pre-payment inspection, or 12 weeks if they are not.
