Ceist:

163 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Public Enterprise if vacancies will arise on the board of Aer Rianta shortly; if so, if she will consider representations from the Cork region in this regard; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [11436/01]

There is currently one vacancy on the board of Aer Rianta and I will bear the representations which I received in this regard in mind when making an appointment to fill this vacancy.

The next vacancies to arise on the board will be those relating to the worker-directors whose terms of office expire at the end of this year. These vacancies will be filled by election under the worker participation legislation.
