Ceist:159 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Finance if he will make arrangements to issue a C2 sub- contractors certificate to a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [12720/01]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that a C2 certificate for the current tax year could not be issued to the taxpayer while his income tax return for the 1999-2000 tax year remained outstanding. The return of income has now been received and the inspector of taxes notified the taxpayer by letter on 4 May 2001 that his C2 certificate is ready for collection.
