Ceist:

282 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of children who get dental extractions under anaesthetic each week at Mayo General Hospital; the number dealt with in 2000 and in each week since then; the number of children in County Mayo who are currently on the emergency list waiting on this procedure; and the approximate waiting time. [13607/01]

The provision of dental services to children in County Mayo is the responsibility of the Western Health Board – WHB – in the first instance. The chief executive officer of the WHB has informed me of the following information regarding Mayo General Hospital:
