318 Ms Clune asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the plans he has to increase the level of disposable income that a person must have before they are eligible for legal aid; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14735/01]
I can confirm to the Deputy that the criteria used to determine financial eligibility under the Civil Legal Aid Act, 1995 are under review. This review is being conducted in consultation with the Legal Aid Board. I expect to be in a position to make a statement on the matter shortly.
