162 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive an area aid payment for 1998 and 1999; if there is an over claim on the land; and if so, the person making the over claim. [15670/01]
The area aid applications in this case have only now been finalised due to difficulties identifying parcel numbers and in establishing that there are no overclaims involved. The area determined for payment purposes for 1998 and 1999 is 5.24 hectares. Payment of £129.39 under the 1998 extensification premium scheme was made on 8 June 1999. Payment of £129.39 due under the 1999 extensification premium scheme will issue within the next two weeks.
