174 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Education and Science if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 644 of 1 May 2001, he will state when officials of his Department will contact the school authorities of a school (details supplied) in County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has been in contact with the principal of the school in question. A formal application for additional resource teaching hours for the pupil concerned has been received. This application has been forwarded to the psychological service for a report and recommendation.

As soon as the report has been received and considered, my Department will advise the school authorities and the Deputy of the decision.
