Vol. 540 No. 1

Written Answers. - Farm Waste Management Scheme.

Michael Creed

Ceist:

212 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason his Department is refusing to carry out inspections on agricultural buildings which is causing financial hardship to a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [20021/01]

The procedures for processing of applications under the scheme of investment aid for farm waste management are in discussion with the union concerned. The procedures set down are considered the minimum necessary to ensure that applicants comply fully with the terms and conditions of the scheme. Every effort is being made to have this matter resolved as quickly as possible and the application from the person named will be processed as soon as the procedures are finally agreed.
