Vol. 540 No. 1

Written Answers. - Tax Credit Certificate.

Ned O'Keeffe

Ceist:

239 Mr. N. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Finance if he will issue a certificate of tax credits to a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [19925/01]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the inspector of taxes has no information about the taxpayer or her circumstances. On 28 June 2001 the inspector sent the taxpayer a form 12A. This is an application form for a certificate of tax credits and standard rate cut-off point. Tax credits replaced tax-free allowances with effect from 6 April 2001. The taxpayer should complete the application form and return it to the inspector who will then issue a certificate of tax credits and standard rate cut-off point for the taxpayer as quickly as possible.
