The number of HIV positive cases reported since 1997 is as follows: 1997 – 119; 1998 – 136; 1999 – 209; 2000 – 342.
Figures are not yet available for the first six months of 2001. However, I understand from the National Disease Surveillance Centre, which is responsible for the collection of this data, that this information will be published shortly.
