48 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the projected expenditure on telecommunications envisaged in the national development plan; and the estimated distribution of this expenditure in each regional development area. [27393/01]

The projected expenditure on telecommunications envisaged in the national development plan is 200 million. Two thirds of this amount will be spent in the Border, midlands and west region and one third in the south and east region.
