154 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands if she will reassess an application by a person (details supplied) in County Mayo for grant aid under the scéim labhairt na gaeilge 2000-2001. [31267/01]
An application under scéim labhairt na gaeilge in respect of the school year 2000-2001 was received in my Department in September 2000 from the household in question. Following an examination the application was refused because the Irish language was not the normal spoken language of the household. This decision has been appealed and is currently being reviewed by my Department.
