Ceist:

109 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will make the necessary funding available to the South-Eastern Health Board in order that surgery can be carried out for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4018/02]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin):

Responsibility for the provision of services in this case rests with the South-Eastern Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
