Róisín Shortall
Ceist:137 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the case where a person (details supplied) in Dublin 11 has been refused admission to the Mater Hospital, Dublin 7, on four different occasions since Christmas 2001; if his Department will investigate with the hospital the reason there has been a notable increase in the number of elderly patients being refused admission to this hospital; the number of step-down facilities available to the hospital; the number of nursing home places available to the hospital; and if he will seek an immediate assurance that this type of scenario will be halted at once.
